Water Block for Wet Outdoor Use
This external shielded cat6 cable has a water blocking tape inside. The tape stops water from moving along the cable. Even if the outer jacket gets a small cut, water does not go far. You can use this external shielded cat6 cable for underground runs or wet outdoor paths. The cable also has a gel filling in some versions. This gives extra protection against water. The jacket is made of black PE material. Black PE resists UV rays from the sun. It does not become brittle after years outside.
Strong Armor for Rodent Protection
This cable comes with a corrugated steel armor layer. The armor stops rodents from biting through the cable. It also protects against shovels or rocks during burial. You can put this cable directly into the ground without a conduit. This saves you time and money on your project. Inside the armor, the cable has a foil shield. The shield blocks outside interference from power lines or radios. The copper wires are 23AWG solid bare copper. This gives you the best signal strength for long outdoor runs up to 100 meters.
