As a hub medium-sized station on the Beijing-Fuzhou high-speed railway and the Quzhou-Jiujiang railway, Wuyuan Railway Station has undergone an upgrade and renovation. It retains the design concept of the wind and rain corridor, utilizing its tiered horsehead walls and flower columns to form a Huizhou-style gatehouse. The grey tiles and overhanging eaves further enhance the Huizhou elements. The opening columns and the entrances and exits on both sides echo the central part, creating a high wall and deep residence. The overall effect is grand and vibrant. The wind and rain corridor and the newly added station building are organically combined, integrating "ancient, elegant, beautiful, and grand" elements to form a unique Huizhou architectural style.

In the weak current plan for this renovation and expansion project, the integrated wiring adopts the WINWANT Category 6 unshielded system, achieving gigabit connectivity to the desktop. The plan takes into account the large span of the high-speed railway station and the transmission of data and images both inside and outside the station. The backbone optical cables are of an indoor and outdoor universal type, featuring a built-in metal reinforced core to accommodate long-distance deployment. The outer sheath is made of composite flame-retardant material, which is waterproof, UV-resistant, and flame-retardant. It also meets the outdoor protection and fireproofing requirements for indoor introduction.
